Tiny Paper Worlds
by Cat Carothers
Hey there, I'm Cat, your friendly neighborhood paper artist! For more than a decade, I've been lost in a magical world of paper, crafting intricate paper pieces by hand. My paper escapades include cutting, layering, crafting 3D masks, building light boxes, and mixing various media.
For now, my creations are only available for purchase at:
I also work with commissions and custom orders. Contact me if you want to bring a touch of paper magic into your life!
My journey
After spreading my paper love at the Art & Invention Gallery and the Tomato Art Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, I settled in beautiful Edmonds, Washington. The stunning Pacific Northwest, the magical mountains, and the serene Puget Sound now inspire many of my creations, each piece a love letter to our beautiful home.
My Process
Hand cut with love
Unlike laser-cuttings, my creations are all hand-cut with love. They might not be perfect, but the thrill of slicing through paper and hearing that satisfying "pop" as a new shape emerges is pure joy for me. I embrace the quirks as part of their charm, and I’m hoping you'll love them just as they are.
